Besides, the higher level you are, the easier it is to get out of pre-searing. My buddy and I were both level 7 when we left and the two of us took on a group of 4 to be able to leave. 8kills vs 4kills. We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into until it was too late, but it turned out alright.

The belt pouch is gotten by trading 5 worn belts to a trader, I believe he is in Lakeside country, not too far from Ascalon, near a chest...someone else could give a better description I'm guessing.

There is also a similar trader in post-searing. Unfortunately I can't remember his exact location either, but know for a fact I ran into him this last BWE. I had forgotten to get the belt pouch in pre-searing with this char, so I was glad when I found him in post. I didn't have the worn belts on me at time though, so I tried to remember his location for later. Again, unfortunately, I didn't do too great of a job on this. He is in one of two places: Either directly south of Fort Ranik, or directly south of Sardelac Sanatarium. So if you miss it in pre, you can still get it in post, unless that is changed in final release.
Umm theres is actually a belt pouch in post searing ascalon, you get it for 5 worn belts. I believe he's deep in regent village, Blitzkrieg and I found him on our way to fort ranik. If I recall correctly he's near a bridge, keep an eye out when there are renegades around because thats the area where we found him.

So don't worry too much about the belt pouch in post-searing, but Resurrection Signet is a MUST, it's incredibly frustrating when your party depends on you and you tell them you cant resurrect.

My strategy

1) Run all class quests and get res signet.
2) Collect a load of scale fins
3) Make myself a pouch
4) Make more pouches, sell them
5) Get a salvaging kit, kill bandits and collect Worn Belts (For Hides)
6) Grab about 25 hides
7) Kill Scale guys and sell all the pouches I make until level 7-8.

This is tedious but will get me

1) Some extremely superb armor as soon as I leave pre-searing
2) Enough cash to craft all the armor, and buy whatever else I need
3) Gets me a belt pouch
4) By the time im done killin all those scales, ill have enough iron for my warrior to make him a suit. And ill have a decent weapon.

The belt pouch is so easy to get in pre -searing that there is no reason not to get it.

Doesn't that just really mean theres more than one belt pouch trader? Lets stop debating over the fact where they are, the point Im saying is the only real important thing in pre-searing is Resurrection Signet.

Don't forget to also pick up your second class. It's much much easier to do it in pre-searing than later.

To the original poster, did you read all of the articles in the New Players Center? And yes, I mean all, especially The Road to Level 10. Then, please check the "Guides" section and read the guide on Pre-Searing Ascalon.

Wow, sounds like there are several belt pouch traders in post-searing. But as was said, may as well get it in pre-searing if you have the time. Extra space is nice, earlier the better I guess.

5) Get a salvaging kit, kill bandits and collect Worn Belts (For Hides)

So there's a trader for worn belts>hides? Or you can just salvage the worn belts? If you can salvage them that would be a real easy way to get some Hides.

You salvage them to get hides.

This is also going way off topic -- please either stay on topic or I'll have to close this thread, also.
